I fly from El Paso, TX tomorrow morning for Los Angeles to meet up with my buddies Luke and Troy. From there we’re cruising up the coast in our veggie powered VW, partying the whole way. One stop that I’m looking forward to will be the fabled Mt Shasta. My brother and I, Ben Grimes always wanted to hit up Shasta, due to our obsession with VW busses which led to the discovery of the annual Shasta Snow Trip. This involved pre 1970’s VW’s, Mt. Shasta, lot’s of snow, and a 1,000 mile road trip. Looked something like this:
